Locker Nuts
Privacy Policy
The short version. lockernuts.com is a single page that points you at our live auctions, our store, and our videos. You cannot create an account here, we never ask you for personal details, and nothing is sold here. We measure how many people arrive and which links they click, so we know what is worth making. We do not sell your data, and we run no advertising trackers.
Who we are
Locker Nuts is a fictitious business name of JRC & Associates, Inc. Questions about this policy, or about data we may hold, go to lockernuts@gmail.com.
What we collect on this website
We use two measurement tools, and between them they are the only things on this site that observe you:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts visits and page views and reports aggregate information such as browser, operating system, country and page performance. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites.
- Google Analytics 4 (property
G-4860CSLFP3) — sets cookies in your browser and records page views plus which outbound links are clicked: our Whatnot auctions, our eBay listings, our social profiles, and our email link. For each click we record which part of the page it came from and where it went. We do this to learn which parts of the page actually send people to the auction.
Google Analytics is served through our own domain (paths beginning
/nutstats) rather than from Google's servers directly. This is a delivery method,
not a way of hiding the collection — the data still goes to Google Analytics, which is why it
is disclosed here.
What we do not do
- No accounts, sign-ups, logins or passwords.
- No payments, and no card or banking details are ever entered on this site.
- No newsletter list, and no marketing emails from this site.
- No selling, renting or trading of personal information.
- No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or cross-site ad profiles.
Where you go when you leave
Most of this page is links. Once you click through to Whatnot, eBay, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or X, you are on their service and their privacy policy governs, not ours. We receive no personal information back from them about you as an individual — only aggregate performance figures about our own content and listings.
Photographs of items for sale are loaded directly from eBay's image servers
(i.ebayimg.com), so displaying this page causes your browser to request those
images from eBay.
If you email us, we hold that message in ordinary email in order to reply. We do not add you to any list. The address on this page is obfuscated at our edge to reduce scraping by spammers.
Our use of YouTube API Services
We operate the Locker Nuts YouTube channel and use YouTube API Services to manage our own channel — uploading our own videos, updating our own video details, and reading performance statistics for our own content. This is internal tooling operated by us for our own channel. It does not access, collect or store data belonging to viewers or to any other channel, and it is not offered to anyone else.
By using our services you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of any data it receives is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can review and revoke our tooling's access to Google account data at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Other platform tools we operate
We use the official APIs of Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and X to publish our own posts to our own accounts, and eBay's API to check whether our own listings are still available. These tools act only on accounts and listings we own. They do not collect information about visitors to this site, and they store no personal data belonging to other people.
Cookies, and how to switch measurement off
Google Analytics cookies are the only cookies this site sets. You can remove or block them in your browser settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or use any content blocker — the page works perfectly well with all of it blocked, and nothing is withheld from you for opting out. Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies and cannot be used to identify you individually.
How long we keep things
Analytics data is retained under the standard retention settings of the tools above and is aggregated; we do not build individual visitor profiles. Emails are kept as long as they are useful for correspondence.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including the EU, the UK, and California — you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold, to request a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing. Because this site collects no names, addresses or account details, in practice we usually hold nothing that identifies you. If you would like to make a request anyway, email lockernuts@gmail.com and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
